What problem are we solving?

The problem open blogs with their own server and domain have today is that that dominant search engines and social media control the discovery and search of blog posts.

If an open blogger wants to share or promote their blog posts, they use social media platforms that have intransparent algorithms and foster hate speech as a business model.

And it‘s also time consuming and tedious for open bloggers with their own instance, to find new readers. In addition, the business model of centralized gatekeepers is pay to play by click or view. So, if open bloggers want to promote their blog posts, all those with the most money need to do is throw money for more views and clicks.

We’re solving two problems.

  1. Our software as a service runs automatically once set up by the user. In turn, every Plankton user with their own decentralized blog saves time when sharing their blog posts, winning new readers and connecting with open bloggers.

  2. We’re providing a solution for democratic economics, because every Plankton user pays the same monthly price for clicks and views.
